Corporate Volunteer InformationAttention SAS, GlaxoSmithKline, Cisco and State Farm EmployeesDid you know that your company offers you the unique opportunity to earn grant funds for your school while you volunteer? This volunteering can include any time that you contribute to our school including actual time helping in class, at home, field trips, phone calls grounds, baking or volunteering at school special events. SAS requires that all volunteers sign up for their Employee Volunteer Fund at the beginning of each school year (July 2003) by completing an application located at the http://sww.sas.com/mkt/smw/volunteet/CorpPhil/fund.html. To earn $500.00 for WLE, you must then volunteer at least 96 hours of volunteer time during the school year. It sounds like at lot of hours, but they do build up quickly! Contact Kelly Wyatt. Sign up and give it a try! GlaxoSmithKline makes it a little easier to earn $500.00. They require 50 hours of volunteer time to be completed in any 12 consecutive month period. They also allow the hours to be volunteered either by an employee or the spouse of the employee. Contact Jan Beam to find out how to sign up for this program. Cisco also has a generous program and will contribute funds to the school based on the number of hours volunteered. Just 25-39 hours will net $300.00; 40-59 hours earns $500.00; 60-79 hours earns $750.00 and 80+ hours results in $1000.00 for our school. They even give an extra contribution for a board member with fiduciary responsibility of $500.00, but the maximum total the school can receive per year per volunteer is 1000.00. State Farm Insurance Company will give $500.00 for 40 hours of volunteer time but only for employees or the main agent of the office. Please contact Jan Beam or Kelly Wyatt if you are affiliated with any of these companies and would like to become involved in this wonderful program.
