Join the PTA

The primary purpose of recruiting members for the PTA is to build an informed team of individuals working on behalf of all our children and youth. Studies of parent involvement overwhelmingly confirm that it has a positive effect on students’ well-being and academic achievement. But parent involvement and PTA commitment also benefit teachers, schools, communities and the parents themselves. A strong school-home connection is the key to our students’ success. We hope you will join with us to see that West Lake Elementary is the place to equip students with the knowledge, skills and attitudes to become productive citizens and effective agents of change within the global community.

The West Lake Elementary PTA is now accepting memberships for the current school year. Members do not have to be parents of students at West Lake Elementary School.

With a West Lake Elementary School PTA Membership Card:

• You have an active voice at all meetings.
• You are eligible for an office in the PTA.
• You can vote at local, state, council, and national PTA meetings.
• You will have the opportunity to attend informed and trained leadership workshops.
• You will have a unified voice to influence legislation.
• You can work for the education and welfare of all children and youth.

How to Become a Member

When you join the West Lake Elementary PTA, you automatically become a member of the State and National PTA organizations.
